A lace in which the lace motifs are appliqued to a machine made net ground. Orinally made in Binche Belgium.
Bishop Sleeves
A long sleeve that fullness in the sleeve and is held by cuff at wrist.
Block printed
A hand printingmethopd using wood, metal or linoleum blocks. The design is carved on the block for each colour. The dye is applied to the block, which is pressed and hammered against the fabric.
Boat Neck
A type of wide neckline on a garment that sits just below the collarbone.

It's a traditional embroidery style from Lucknow, India.The technique of creation of a chikan work is known as chikankari. True denim is a twill weave cotton like fabric made with different colour yarns in the warp and the weft. Due to the twill construction, one colour predominates on the fabric surface.

Frog

A type of braid that has a heavy central core covered by a more decorative outer layer of fiber that is arranged into a design on the surface of a garment, sewn into place, and forms a raised decorative area.
Godet
Triangular piece of fabric that is inserted into the lower edge of a skirt or sleeve in order to provide additional fullness. Especially popular when fullness around the hem of a skirt.
Gharara
A pair of loose trousers with pleats below the knee, worn by women from South Asia, typically with a kameez.
Gota
Gota work is a type of Indian embroidery that originated in Rajasthan, India. It uses the applique technique. Small pieces of zari ribbon are applied onto the fabric with the edges sewn down to create elaborate patterns.
Gore
A triangular shaped fabric piece that is intended to add gradual fullness to a garment. Skirts often consist of two or more gores. They allow a closer fit over the hips and then gradually flare out at the lower part of the garment.

The lower edge of a part of a garment that has been finished off with some type of sewing to cover the raw edge.
